Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Representative at the Tacoma Center. You will greet members, assist with check-ins, and provide friendly service to members and guests to enhance their experience.

The role requires excellent communication, computer skills, and a proactive, diverse-friendly attitude. Up to 25 hours per week, opening shift, $17.51–$20.70 per hour. Join a welcoming team and grow with the Y.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of customer service, sales, or related experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to deliver a positive and welcoming experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Proactive work style with the ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.
• Positive attitude and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good public relations with members and always represent the best interests of the YMCA.
• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
• Assisting with basic membership transactions.
• Respond to members' needs. Contact appropriate personnel when necessary and notify supervisor of unusual situations. Handle complaints in a courteous manner.

Position: Member Services Representative

Wage: $17.51 to $20.70 per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week, Opening Shift

Location: Tacoma Center YMCA, Tacoma, WA

As a Member Services Representative, you are the friendly face that greets and welcomes members and guests to our Y facility. In this position, you will provide excellent customer service to our current members and potential members to ensure they have an enriching experience while visiting our Y. If you are passionate about helping others and being part of a vibrant community, this is the job for you.
