YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Representative to join our team at the Gordon Family YMCA in Sumner, WA. You will deliver excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, promoting memberships and programs while maintaining a welcoming front desk and lobby area.

The role requires at least two years of customer service or related experience, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work well with diverse populations.

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Member Services Representative to join our team!

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

As a Member Services Representative you will deliver excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. If hired for this position, you will respond to member and guest needs, promote memberships and programs, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain good public relations with members and always represent the best interests of the YMCA.
• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
• Assisting with basic membership transactions.
• Respond to members' needs. Contact appropriate personnel when necessary and notify supervisor of unusual situations. Handle complaints in a courteous manner.

• Able and willing to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day and other online and in-person training as required.
• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

Wage: $17.51 to $18.01 per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week

Location: Gordon Family YMCA, Sumner, WA
