The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Representative at the Pearl Street Family YMCA. In this role you will greet members and guests, deliver friendly service, assist with basic membership transactions, and help ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Qualifications include at least two years in customer service or sales, strong written and verbal communication, computer proficiency, initiative, and the ability to pass background checks;

Position: Member Services Representative

Wage: $17.51 to $20.70 per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week, Mid Shift,Weekend availability preferred

Location: Pearl Street Family YMCA, Tacoma, WA

As a Member Services Representative, you are the friendly face that greets and welcomes members and guests to our Y facility. In this position, you will provide excellent customer service to our current members and potential members to ensure they have an enriching experience while visiting our Y. If you are passionate about helping others and being part of a vibrant community, this is the job for you.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of customer service, sales, or related experience (preferred).


• Strong customer service skills with the ability to deliver a positive and welcoming experience.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.


• Proactive work style with the ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.


• Positive attitude and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.


• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).


• Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.


• Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
