YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Lakewood, WA is seeking a friendly Member Services Representative to greet members, assist guests, and ensure a welcoming experience at our Y facility. This part-time role offers up to 25 hours per week, weekday shifts 8AM–6PM, and a wage of $17.13 to $17.28 per hour, with paid training, discounts, and access to YMCA benefits.

Strong communication and computer skills preferred; two years of customer service encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of customer service, sales, or related experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to deliver a positive and welcoming experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Proactive work style with the ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.
• Positive attitude and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
• Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good public relations with members and always represent the best interests of the YMCA.
• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
• Assisting with basic membership transactions.
• Respond to members' needs. Contact appropriate personnel when necessary and notify supervisor of unusual situations. Handle complaints in a courteous manner.

Position: Member Services Representative

Wage: $17.13 to $17.28 per hour, depending on qualifications (
Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week

Shift: Weekday Availability, 8AM-6PM

Location: Lakewood Family YMCA, Lakewood, WA

As a Member Services Representative, you are the friendly face that greets and welcomes members and guests to our Y facility. In this position, you will provide excellent customer service to our current members and potential members to ensure they have an enriching experience while visiting our Y.
