Job summary

GeoVista Federal Credit Union is seeking a teller to support daily financial transactions, member services, and cross-selling opportunities. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and various cash instruments while maintaining accuracy and security.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach. A high school diploma and background check are required; flexibility for occasional travel within the region may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in financial or retail sales with cash handling, customer service and sales.
• Attention to detail and basic math aptitude.
• Demonstrate good judgement evaluating identities, accounts, checks and currency.
• Ability to communicate with members and others at all levels.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan/credit card payments and advances, cash advances, cashier's checks and money orders, and redeeming savings bonds.
• Performs member account maintenance.
• Follow Credit Union policies and security procedures.
• Maintain balancing records per teller standards.
• Initiate conversations with members to determine financial needs and cross-sell products and services.
• Provide exceptional member service with all interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.
