Job summary

The YMCA of Central New Mexico is seeking a part-time Member Service Representative to welcome members, answer questions, and sell memberships and programs. The role includes handling payments, check-ins, and providing program information with a friendly, professional demeanor aligned to our core values.

You will engage with members to understand their goals, build relationships, and guide them to relevant programs while maintaining accurate records and contributing to a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
• Active listening.
• Ability to multitask and work under limited supervision.
• Experience with computers.
• Willingness to commit to the YMCA mission.
• Cash handling and transaction reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet members and guests.
• Answer phones and provide information about memberships and programs.
• Register for memberships and/or programs, collect payments.
• Balance end-of-shift transactions and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and safe YMCA environment.
• Assist in training new Member Service Team members.
• Sell memberships and programs.
• Check-in members and control facility access.
• Attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
