Job summary

YMCA of Greater Dayton seeks a Part Time Non-Exempt Member Services staff at Otterbein Life Enrichment Center, St. Mary's, OH. You will assist YMCA members with transactions, registrations, and tours, while delivering friendly service and accurate processing.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of customer service experience, a HS diploma or GED, and a willingness to work Mon/Thu 3pm–6pm with additional hours as needed. Join a welcoming team focused on community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A 2-year degree or applicable experience is preferred.
• One year or more of related customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent member service at the desk.
• Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations and registrations.
• Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
• Displays excellent telephone skills.
• Handles monetary transactions and reconciliations.
• Builds relationships with members and proactively solves problems.
• Performs routine copying and filing.
• Keeps member information up to date per handbook.
• Follows safety guidelines and communicates concerns to supervisor.
• Suggests improvements to member services.

Mondays and Thursdays 3pm - 6pm with additional hours available on an as needed basis.

Position Summary: Responsible for providing excellent services to YMCA members and other individuals at the Member Services Desk.

Essential Functions:

• Provides excellent member service.
• Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations, and all other member transactions, including program registration and other activities, in an efficient and accurate manner, that occur at the Member Service Desk.
• Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
• Displays excellent telephone skills.
• Handles monetary transactions and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
• Builds relationships with members.
• Proactively solves problems.
• Performs routine copying and filing.
• Keeps up-to-date with member information as outlined in the member handbook.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
• Communicates any suggestions to improve member services.
