Job summary

The Grand Lake Health/Premier Health North YMCA in Celina, Ohio is seeking a friendly Member Services Associate to greet members and manage desk services. You will handle sign-ups, registrations, and member transactions while maintaining a welcoming environment.

This role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of customer service experience. Availability for evenings and weekends is expected, with opportunities to grow within a community-focused organization.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent member service at the Member Service Desk.
• Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations, and all other member transactions, including program registration, efficiently and accurately.
• Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
• Displays excellent telephone skills.
• Handles monetary transactions and reconciles them.
• Builds relationships with members.
• Proactively solves problems.
• Keeps member information up-to-date per the member handbook.
• Follows safety guidelines.
• Communicates concerns or incidents to direct supervisor for follow-up.
• Communicates suggestions to improve member services.

Responsible for providing excellent services to YMCA members and other individuals at the Member Services Desk.

Essential Functions

• Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations, and all other member transactions, including program registration and other activities, in an efficient and accurate manner, that occur at the Member Service Desk.
• Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.

• Handles monetary transactions and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
• Builds relationships with members.
• Proactively solves problems.
• Performs routine copying and filing.
• Keeps up-to-date with member information as outlined in the member handbook.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
• Communicates any suggestions to improve member services.
