Job summary

Coffman YMCA in Springboro, OH is hiring a Part Time/Non-Exempt Member Services Desk Associate to deliver exceptional service to members and guests. The role handles memberships, program registrations, and related transactions at the Member Services Desk with accuracy and courtesy.

You will greet visitors, process sales and cancellations, conduct facility tours for prospective members, and maintain up-to-date member records while adhering to safety guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A 2-year degree or applicable experience preferred.
• One year or more of related customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent member service at the Member Services Desk.
• Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations, and all member transactions, including program registration and other activities, accurately and efficiently.
• Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
• Displays excellent telephone skills and handles monetary transactions with proper reconciliation.
• Builds relationships with members and proactively solves problems.
• Keeps member information up-to-date as outlined in the member handbook.
• Follows safety guidelines and communicates concerns to supervisor.
• Suggests improvements to enhance member services.

Essential Functions

• Provides excellent member service.
• Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations, and all other member transactions, including program registration and other activities, in an efficient and accurate manner, that occur at the Member Service Desk.
• Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
• Displays excellent telephone skills.
• Handles monetary transactions and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
• Builds relationships with members.
• Proactively solves problems.
• Performs routine copying and filing.
• Keeps up-to-date with member information as outlined in the member handbook.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
• Communicates any suggestions to improve member services.
