Job summary

Members Credit Union (MCU), based in Stamford, CT, seeks a service-oriented MSR I to assist members with everyday banking needs, including transactions, account opening, and digital banking support.

The MSR I builds positive relationships, provides accurate, courteous service, and follows procedures and regulatory requirements while connecting members with suitable financial solutions and educational resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service or cash handling preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine helping mindset.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in transactions and discretion with sensitive information.
• Comfort with computers and learning new financial tools.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and provide courteous, responsive, and personalized service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other cash transactions accurately, balancing cash and following established controls.
• Assist members with opening accounts, maintaining account information, and accessing credit union services.
• Help members navigate digital banking tools and resolve routine service questions.
• Identify opportunities to educate members, provide appropriate referrals, and connect them with products and services that fit their needs.
• Support financial coaching and member education within the scope of the role.
• Contribute to individual and team goals while supporting community outreach activities.
• Follow applicable policies, procedures, privacy requirements, and compliance controls.
• Recognize unusual activity or situations requiring additional review and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in cross-training, staff development, and occasional community or training events.
