Job summary

Dort Financial Credit Union in Grand Blanc, MI seeks a Member Service Representative to deliver comprehensive credit union services, build lasting member relationships, and match needs with appropriate products.

You will interview and counsel loan applicants, enroll new members, review loan applications and credit reports, assist with teller services, and provide credit score coaching to help members save money.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: At least one year of customer-facing experience in credit unions or financial institutions.
• Skills: Bondable, proficient with Microsoft Office or similar software, with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of Credit Union services and build member relationships.

• Review and suggest improvements for loans by examining applications and credit reports.

Your Role

As a vital member of our team, you'll provide a wide range of Credit Union services, beginning with building and strengthening member relationships by matching their needs with our products and services. Your role will also involve:

• Interviewing and counseling loan applicants and enrolling new members
• Reviewing and suggesting improvements for current and prospective loans by effectively reviewing loan applications and credit reports
• Assist with loan, cash, and teller services
• Offer credit score coaching to save our members money
• Fundamental financial counseling to boost our members money management knowledge
