Job summary

Dort Financial Credit Union in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Member Service Representative to deliver friendly, accurate service and build member relationships by matching needs to our products and services. You'll interview loan applicants, review credit reports, assist with loan, cash, and teller services, and offer credit score coaching and basic financial counseling to help members reach their goals.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: At least one year of customer-facing experience in credit unions or financial institutions.
• Skills: Bondable and proficient with Microsoft Office or similar software, with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants and enroll new members.
• Review and suggest improvements for current and prospective loans by reviewing loan applications and credit reports.
• Assist with loan, cash, and teller services.
• Offer credit score coaching to save members money.
• Provide fundamental financial counseling to boost members' money management knowledge.

Your Role

As a vital member of our team, you'll provide a wide range of Credit Union services, beginning with building and strengthening member relationships by matching their needs with our products and services. Your role will also involve:
