Job summary

Island Federal is seeking a Member Service Representative/Float to support members’ financial needs by recommending credit union products, handling inquiries, and accurately performing transactions. The role emphasizes a thorough knowledge of services and flexible coverage across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Responsibilities include evaluating accounts, processing loan applications in XP2, opening new memberships, handling various member requests, and assisting at the Teller platform during peak

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Prior sales experience is necessary.
• Teller experience is required.
• Must complete NMLS registration within 30 days.
• Must complete Signature Guarantee training within 30 days.
• Must obtain Lending Authority within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate member accounts and services, cross-sell credit union solutions.
• Process loan applications in XP2 and obtain required documentation.
• Open new membership accounts and/or services with accuracy.
• Handle stop payments, wire transfers, statements, checks, and card orders.
• Respond to member inquiries via phone or mail regarding products and fees.
• Assist at Teller platform during peak periods and cover reception when needed.
• Explain electronic services and ensure security procedures are followed.
• Perform Notary Public duties and Signature Guarantees per policy.
