Job summary

Webster First Federal Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Associate - Bank Teller at our Worcester, MA branch. This onsite role supports branch operations with a Monday-Saturday schedule and reports to the Branch Manager.

You will handle teller duties, assist members, promote credit union products, and maintain accurate cash drawers while delivering exceptional service in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math transactions, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and oral instruction.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently; bilingual candidates are a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public status, if requested.
• Excellent communication skills — ability to present information professionally.
• Pleasant demeanor — deliver exceptional member service with a diverse team.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and use sound judgment.
• Proficient in computer/software programs, including Microsoft Office.
• Reliable and punctual attendance as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day branch operating policies, procedures, opening/closing, balancing drawers, and assisting members.
• Work as a teller on the frontline, handling account-related requests and services.
• Maintain a neat, professional work area and project a positive attitude.
• Cross-sell credit union products while complying with disclosure requirements and privacy policies.
• Scan and verify branch checks through Check 21 system.
• Support vault procedures and dual controls where applicable.
• Research and resolve member issues, liaising with other departments.
• Promote BSA/OFAC compliance and participate in related training.
• Protect member and employee information per security policies.
