Job summary

Webster First Federal Credit Union in Webster, MA seeks a Member Service Associate to join our branch team. You will perform teller duties, assist members with accounts, process transactions, and promote credit union products with a focus on exceptional service.

This full-time, on-site role offers a schedule Monday-Saturday to support branch operations and a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance (BSA/OFAC), and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required; college degree or certification in a relevant field, preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role, including handling cash transactions.
• One to three years of bank/credit union experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, bilingual candidates are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to present information and respond to questions from members of management and credit union members professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day branch operating policies, procedures, opening and closing, balancing drawers, and assisting members.
• Work as a teller on the frontline, assisting members with various account-related requests and services.
• Project a positive and professional attitude and maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times; address and/or escape any member complaints as appropriate efficiently and knowledgeably.
• Answer member inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories; cross-sell credit union products and services while complying with disclosure requirements and privacy policies.
• Scan and verify branch checks through Check 21 system.
• Escort appropriate personnel into the vault and maintain dual controls for safe access where applicable.
• Research and resolve member issues, acting as liaison between departments.
• Promote BSA/OFAC compliance and information security policies; participate in annual training.
