Job summary

Credit Union 1 Alaska is seeking a friendly Teller at Abbott Branch to support members with everyday financial needs, process deposits and withdrawals, and promote CU1 products and services. You will guide customers to digital tools and ensure accurate, confidential handling of transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes service quality, compliance with BSA/AML, and the ability to work across multiple software systems while maintaining a positive, welcoming approach for all

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months of financial institution, cash handling, call center, customer service or sales experience.
• Excellent communication skills to build relationships with members.
• Ability to communicate one-on-one and in groups.
• Maintain composure with difficult members and maintain service quality.
• Proactively present credit union products and services that meet members' financial needs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service with every member interaction.
• Assist with deposits, payments, withdrawals, and transfers accurately and confidentially.
• Research and resolve member account issues.
• Document all transactions per policies and retention rules.
• Educate members on ATM/ITM, DocuSign, Online Access, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay, and Mobile Wallet features.
• Explain product benefits and make fitting recommendations.
• Monitor transactions for security and potential fraud and adhere to safety policies.
• Perform opening and closing duties and balance daily cash supplies.
