Job summary

Expree Credit Union is seeking a qualified full-time Teller to join our member-focused team in Kentucky. You will greet members, handle transactions, promote financial products and services, and ensure adherence to all policies and regulations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of teller/cash handling experience, plus strong math, communication, and confidentiality skills. Bilingual Spanish/English encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of Teller/Cash Handling experience.
• General knowledge of credit union or banking practices.
• Trustworthiness and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions.
• Receive share draft/checks and cash for deposit to accounts; verify amounts, examine share draft/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into records.
• Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
• Assist with mail or email transactions, when available.
• Maintain an up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by tellers.
• Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, rules, and regulations for the teller area including robbery procedures.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
• Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, etc.
• Answer phone calls and transfer accordingly.
• Other duties as required.
