Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union in East Lansing is seeking a Financial Services Specialist to deliver personalized service and advice, increasing member engagement. You will address member requests, assess their financial position, and tailor solutions while cross-selling complementary products.

The role requires retail banking experience, a focus on accuracy, and a commitment to high-quality service. It is an on-site, full-time position with branch hours and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Availability to work during branch hours, including Saturdays.

• Member Sales - Effectively leverages opportunities and generates leads to cross-sell products and services with integrity, supporting member needs while achieving individual, department, and organizational goals.

• Product Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of products, services, and relevant details offered or supported within the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior member experience and recommend tailored solutions.
• Cross-sell products and services to meet member needs.
• Process member transactions accurately in alignment with procedures.
• Review transactions for red flags and escalate when needed to Fraud.
• Operate two cash drawers on two systems and ensure accurate service.
• Promote and guide members in using Credit Union technology.
• Engage in training to strengthen competencies for growth.
• Participate in community events to build relationships with members.
