Job summary

YMCA in North Carolina seeks a Member Experience Representative to increase membership engagement, growth and retention. You will greet members, conduct tours, and connect them with wellness staff for orientation and programs.

The role involves using computer systems, completing ID card processing, and supporting annual giving campaigns. Strong customer service, verbal communication, and a welcoming, team-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills and the ability to learn appropriate computer programs related to the position.
• CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen certification or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
• Conduct tours with prospective members and explain benefits of membership and opportunities.
• Use Listen-First skills to connect health-seekers with appropriate staff and programs.
• Meet regularly with wellness staff to schedule new member orientation sessions.
• Respond to phone inquiries and handle membership administration tasks.
• Manage or support DAXKO reports and assist with the Annual Giving Campaign.
