Job summary

Planet Fitness in Danbury, CT is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk operations and support the General Manager. The role requires multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, delegation, and delivering excellent member service.

You will manage front desk staff, assist in recruiting, and ensure daily club standards are met. Hours include evenings and weekends; the position offers competitive pay, 401K options, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 6–12 months of supervisor/manager experience in high-volume restaurant or retail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and drive club metrics aligned with business performance.
• Develop knowledge of club services, programs, products and competitors.
• Assist in interviewing and recruitment with initial phone interviews.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to improve performance.
• Uphold company standards and lead by example; maintain a clean, friendly club.
• Ensure consistent basics: punctuality, dress, friendliness, cleanliness.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions with GM, RM and HR.
• Cover shifts for call-outs or vacancies as needed.
• Oversee club audits ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Mentor Front End staff for career growth and performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Club Manager.
