Job summary

Golds Gym DC Metro is seeking a Member Experience Team Member to welcome members and guests, manage front door access, and perform check-in duties at the gym. You will help guests with inquiries about gym operations and policies while performing various administrative tasks as directed by management.

This role requires strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy fitness environment, including flexible hours and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in writing is required.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles is required.
• Functional computer skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods of time.

• Comply with all Gold's Gym DC Metro policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests enthusiastically to create a friendly entrance and departure.
• Provide security and control to the front door and retail area.
• Check in members using proper procedures.
• Monitor check-ins and notify supervisor of delinquent accounts.
• Register guests into the gym.
• Direct guests and appointments to the appropriate fitness consultant.
• Answer phones professionally and take messages with caller details.
• Log inquiries and transfer calls to the right staff.
• Follow up on telephone inquiries to ensure appointments are booked.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear uniform with nametag.
• Distribute keys, towels and other materials as needed.
• Reserve time for special classes or gym activities.
• Process retail and concession sales.
• Attend staff meetings as directed.
• Keep the Member Experience area clean and orderly.
