Job summary

Oakwood Country Club is seeking a Social Director to plan and oversee a diverse calendar of member events. You will collaborate with club management and vendors to deliver engaging experiences that reflect the club’s traditions.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in event planning, and the ability to manage budgets and staff for multiple events throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, country club management, recreation, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with budgets, vendors, and event contracts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of social events and activities.
• Develop an annual social calendar reflecting members' interests.
• Coordinate event details: scheduling, room setup, decorations, entertainment, food & beverage, invitations, registration, cleanup.
• Work with General Manager and department leaders to align events with Club goals and standards.
• Promote events via newsletters, email communications, social media, flyers, calendars, and other channels.
• Coordinate with vendors, entertainers, caterers, decorators, and service providers as needed.
• Monitor event budgets and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with pricing, ticketing, registration, and attendance procedures.
• Welcome members and guests and serve as a visible representative of Oakwood Country Club.
• Gather member feedback to improve future programs.
