Peoria Park District is seeking a full-time Front Desk Supervisor for Riverplex Recreation & Wellness Center in Peoria, IL. The role emphasizes exceptional member service, daily front desk operations, and overseeing a part-time staff to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading member services, assisting with sales campaigns, maintaining accurate records, and training staff. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; evening/weekend availability and a valid Illinois driver’s license

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: One to two years in member services, recreation management, fitness, or related field.
• Supervisory experience including staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing front desk operations to ensure efficient service and safety adherence.
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating part-time front desk and sales staff.
• Supervising and coordinating the part-time manager on duty team for evenings and weekends.
• Supporting membership sales efforts with sales strategies and coaching.
• Coordinating representation at wellness fairs and community programs.
• Promoting and selling memberships, personal training, and related services.
• Maintaining records of memberships, leads, and interactions using membership software.
• Generating reports on sales, member engagement, and staffing.
