Job summary

Peoria Park District is seeking a part-time Duty Manager for RiverPlex Recreation & Wellness Center in Peoria, IL. The role involves supervising the facility in the manager's absence, patrolling the building, and ensuring safety and order across playgrounds, courts, and parking areas.

The candidate should excel in customer service, have strong organizational skills, and be able to handle money and communicate effectively with patrons and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work Saturdays.
• Excellent and consistent customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to count money and give correct change if the need arises.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all patrons and departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate the building in the absence of full-time staff.
• Conduct rounds of the facility and note cleanliness, broken items, lighting.
• Monitor high-traffic areas such as playgrounds, courts, and parking lots.
• Rotate staff and assist on special projects as needed.
• Provide support to other department managers in discipline situations.
• Assist staff at end of shift to complete final tasks.
• Check business reports and secure all doors at end of night.
• Respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Coach and train staff as needed.
• Answer questions and direct inquiries to appropriate departments.
