Job summary

YMCA of Greater Whittier is seeking a Membership Engagement Coordinator to oversee front desk operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional member service.

You will develop a knowledgeable, engaged team, manage scheduling, and support the Membership Director to maintain a welcoming, efficient environment that strengthens our community.

Part-time role focusing on frontline leadership, customer care, program registrations, and accurate cash handling while upholding YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required; YMCA or recreation experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily front desk operations for service and efficiency.
• Coach and mentor front desk staff with scheduling and accountability.
• Create and maintain front desk schedules; manage coverage.
• Promote YMCA programs, services, and membership opportunities.
• Address member concerns with professionalism and resolve issues.
