Job summary

Excel Fitness in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Team Player to join our fitness club team. You will perform duties across member services, cash handling, and facility maintenance to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for all members.

You will operate the POS system, update member data on tablets, and assist with membership promotions and safety training. This role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced club setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required before working alone; training offered within 30 days.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Team-oriented, motivated and well-organized.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computers.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiarity with Excel’s mission and Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Operate and assist members with equipment and amenities.
• Input and update member information into tablets and POS.
• Audit cash drawers daily.
• Promote club memberships and assist with promotions.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines.
• Assist GM and AM with operational strategies and inventory orders.
