Job summary

Excel Fitness in Havelock, NC is hiring a Team Player to support daily club operations and deliver exceptional member service. You will assist with cleanliness, safety, training completion, and member interaction while upholding Excel standards.

Responsibilities include cash handling, POS input, inventory, equipment use, and participation in team meetings. The role may be full-time or part-time, nonexempt, with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification and AED Certification required before working alone.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Great communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Team-oriented, motivated and well-organized.
• Ability to think critically and resolve problems proactively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer use.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission and Planet Fitness brand and operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform to your best abilities during your assigned work shift.
• Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Operate and assist with member check-in and app usage.
• Ensure training completed to operate safely and efficiently.
• Conduct audits to ensure club presentation meets Excel standards.
• Walk around the club and complete cleaning or related tasks.
• Audit and balance cash drawers daily.
• Enter and update member information into tablets and POS.
• Enforce policies and address infractions.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
• Communicate with members and deliver high-level service.
• Stock retail and janitorial items for the shift.
• Understand and uphold company standards and resolve issues.
• Audit inventory and communicate with GM/AM/Shift Lead about orders.
• Stay up to date on required certifications and training.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Promote, tour, and assist prospects and potential members.
• Assist GM and AM with membership promotions and strategy implementation.
• Ensure compliance with laws and insurance requirements.
• Assist members with equipment use and amenities while following procedures.
• Represent Excel Fitness at community events.
