Job summary

The Southern District YMCA located in Exeter is seeking an energetic, outgoing Welcome Center Team member to greet members and act as the primary contact for information inquiries. The role emphasizes friendly service, relationship building, and accurate handling of membership concerns.

The ideal candidate has proven customer service experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work Tue–Thu 2pm-8pm, Fri 2pm-6pm with one weekend shift, plus additional hours when available.

Qualifications

• Must have superior interpersonal and communications skills.
• Must be 18+
• Basic math and strong computer skills.
• Customer service: 1 year (Required).
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and serve as the primary contact for information inquiries.
• Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants in person and by phone.
• Build relationships with members and help connect them to the YMCA and to each other.
• Address membership concerns and inform supervisor of unresolved issues.
• Follow YMCA policies and assist in emergency situations as needed.
