Job summary

Listerhill Credit Union in Tennessee is seeking a Member Advocate to guide members on their financial journey. You will greet members, assess needs, and promote solutions that align with the LCU mission to value people over profit.

You will open and service accounts, educate members on self-service banking, and build lasting relationships through courteous, accurate service and problem solving in a community-focused credit union environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of service industry experience.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Ability to stand and walk to serve members.
• Professional demeanor with sales/service focus; strong problem-solving skills.
• Must complete LCU assessments.

Responsibilities

• Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
• Open new accounts, and service existing accounts. Set up new account files, and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
• Cross sell credit union products and services.
• Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check orders, line of credit advances, stop payments, and any other service requests received from members.
• Perform teller work as needed.
• Establish new banking relationships with members ensuring they are offered all the products and services that are appropriate given their financial needs.
• Establish, maintain, and deepen relationships with credit union members to provide excellent member service.
• Provide account servicing and maintenance, and assist with problem resolution for members in accordance with all established procedures and regulations.
• Originate, process, close, and disburse consumer loans and home equity advances.
• Educate members in the use of self-service banking solutions including, ATMs, on-line, and mobile banking to enhance their service experience.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position, thus all Listerhill Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned
