Job summary

Unitus Community Credit Union in Tanasbourne, Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Member Advocate who will work with members in person to open new accounts, help with loan applications, and refer to other services. You will perform monetary and non-monetary transactions with accuracy while applying fraud prevention practices and delivering exceptional service.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in a fast-paced customer service role, and eligibility for NMLS and Notary Public

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a fast-paced customer service role that includes in-person or telephone assistance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable using technology to accomplish tasks.
• Experience in a credit union or bank with financial services products and cross-selling is helpful.
• Ability to be certified through NMLS and as a Notary Public in Oregon/Washington.

Responsibilities

• Work with members in-person to open new accounts, assist with loans, and refer to other lines of business.
• Perform monetary/non-monetary transactions with accuracy and fraud prevention awareness.
• Continuously develop knowledge of credit union products and internal systems.
• Collaborate with other staff to research and resolve questions or concerns.
• Exceed sales and service goals designed with a member focus.
