Job summary

STCU in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a Member Consultant to create outstanding in-person experiences for current and prospective members. You will perform interviews at origination, handle account maintenance and transactions, and identify opportunities to expand relationships while positioning STCU as the primary financial partner.

The ideal candidate has teller experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in conflict resolution.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Job Experience: Minimum two years' Teller, new accounts or service representative in a financial institution required.
• Software Skills: Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
• Work Conditions: Office setting with potential high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Travel Demands: May travel to other STCU locations.

Responsibilities

• Protect membership confidentiality and perform transactional duties with high accuracy per policies and procedures.
• Originate and expand member relationships by reviewing financial positions and recommending products/services.
• Exceed service expectations by delivering outstanding member experiences and strengthening loyalty.
