Job summary

STCU - Spokane Teachers Credit Union in Spokane Valley is seeking a Member Consultant to create exceptional in-person experiences for existing and prospective members at our retail locations. The role involves conducting interviews during new member origination, account maintenance, and transactions; identifying opportunities to expand relationships and present STCU as the primary financial partner.

Ideal candidates have teller experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for serving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Teller, new accounts or service representative in a financial institution.
• Equivalent sales/service experience in a retail setting may be considered.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Protect the integrity and confidentiality of membership; perform transactions with high accuracy per policies and balancing standards.
• Originate and expand member relationships by reviewing members' financial position and recommending products/services.
• Exceed service expectations by delivering unparalleled member experiences and strengthening loyalty.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum two years’ Teller/new accounts/service representative experience

Equivalent sales/service experience in retail may be considered

MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
