Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is hiring a Member Services Representative to assist members with transactions, account openings, and product guidance. You will balance cash on a daily basis, provide Notary Public services, and engage with the community to enhance the credit union presence.

You should possess strong communication skills, be able to educate members about financial products, and refer customers to financial advisory services as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; preferred further education or certifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial products clearly.
• Aptitude for meeting people and building member confidence and trust.
• Ability to problem solve and exercise good judgment in member interactions.
• Experience with branch operations and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions, balance cash drawer, and adhere to security controls.
• Open and maintain accounts, including tax-advantaged accounts, per procedures.
• Provide Notary Public services as requested by management.
• Promote and educate members on credit union products and services.
• Handle basic advisory referrals for insurance, retirement, and mortgage services.
