Job summary

OneAZ Credit Union’s Corporate Office in Phoenix is recruiting a customer-focused professional to support consumer loan and deposit applications. You will handle calls, chats, and online inquiries while building a pipeline of lending opportunities and cross-selling products.

You will work in an in-office call center environment, coordinating with Mortgage Loan Originators and back-office staff to fund loans and deliver excellent member service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution and/or call center.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills, multitasking ability, and telephone etiquette.
• A passion for people, innovation, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Process new member and deposit account applications from web or phone channels.
• Gather information to complete deposit account applications to funding.
• Respond to new member lead requests and document activities.
• Communicate with prospective members about products and the value of membership.
• Maintain knowledge of eligibility for membership.
• Communicate effectively with members, vendors, and internal staff regarding inquiries and complaints by email or phone.
• Onboard new members, including outbound Lending Support.
• Process consumer loan applications via web or phone channels.
• Review credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, and other underwriting information.
• Explain and promote Credit Union products and services to members.
• Develop and expand member relationships with relationship banking solutions.
• Gather stipulations to move loan applications to funding.
• Use electronic signature software to send and process loan and account documents.
• Research escalated issues to resolve problems.
• Apply common-sense thinking to variable scenarios in standardized processes.
• Manage a pipeline of loan and deposit applications and report on pull-through and performance.
