Job summary

BMI Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Member Service Representative/Loan Specialist in Columbus, OH to assist members with financial needs, explain products, and perform a range of transactions with minimal supervision. The role involves branch travel and support for the Contact Center as needed.

The ideal candidate will have notary and cash handling experience, strong communication skills, and a customer-first attitude. BMI FCU offers a solid benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Notary Commission with STAMP certification required.
• Mortgage Loan Originator license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assist Members in completing consumer loan applications; coordinate loan closings and prepare loan closing documents.
• Proactively seek cross-selling opportunities by evaluating Members’ needs and explaining available services.
• Provide loan products to Members in a timely and efficient manner.
• Open new accounts and process Savings, Checking, IRAs, Trust, and Estate forms.
• Assist Members with Notary or Medallion Signature Guarantee needs.
