Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Mega Projects Estimator for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants within the Critical Infrastructure Group. The role involves developing detailed quantity takeoffs for complex infrastructure, supporting both bid work and design-build deliveries, and ensuring material selections comply with regulations.

The estimator will collaborate with sales, engineering, and design teams to inform bid strategies and deliver exceptional customer value across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of estimation experience in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience with designbuild, value engineering, and complex bid strategies.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, drawings and specs to determine project requirements and perform detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Support designbuild projects by evaluating materials early and late design stages; propose alternatives for price and delivery improvements.
• Develop competitive bid strategies with sales; prepare timely, accurate quotations; conduct scope meetings with contractors.
