Core & Main is seeking a Mega Projects Estimator for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants in the Critical Infrastructure Group. You will develop accurate quantity takeoffs, support bid strategies, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and design teams to drive winning bids for complex infrastructure projects.

The role requires extensive experience in water/wastewater estimation, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to guide design-build efforts while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline.
• Generally 5–8 years of experience in a related field; certification may be required in some areas; MS/MA and 3–5 years in related field also common.

Responsabilités

• Reviews construction plans, drawings, and specs to determine project requirements.
• Produces detailed material quantity takeoffs for critical infrastructure facilities and systems.
• Identifies materials and specialty components to meet design criteria.
• Participates in design-build projects by evaluating materials early and late design stages.
• Collaborates with contractors to identify alternative materials for price and delivery improvements.
• Assists in bid strategy, estimates quotations, and supports customer engagement.
• Leads knowledge transfer and coordinates with internal teams (sales, engineering, PreBid).
• Mentors estimating personnel as a senior technical resource.
