Job summary

Yaskawa America, Inc. - Drives & Motion Division seeks a Medium Voltage Field Service Engineer based in Northern Illinois/Wisconsin or Texas. You will troubleshoot, repair and test MV drives and motion products in the field or remotely, with up to 70% travel nationwide and to Canada.

Candidate should have a BSEE/BSEET or equivalent, MV experience (2.3kV–15kV), and know PLCs/HMI. Training available in Franklin, WI; Autocad experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSEET (or equivalent) required.
• Experience servicing automation products, ideally medium voltage power distribution (2.3kV–15kV).
• Experience with variable frequency drives, motion control products, PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with electronic test equipment; CAD proficiency (Autocad) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and test products in the field or remotely.
• Advise and train customers including importers, dealers, and end users.
• Improve service capabilities and contribute to putting a down system back in production.
• Travel nationally and to Canada up to 70%+.
