Job summary

Gateway Industrial Power, Incorporated in Cicero, IL is seeking a Medium Duty Truck Technician to perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks and conduct preventative maintenance. You will road test vehicles and document repairs to ensure proper operation.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, CDL preferred, and 2+ years of experience. We value teamwork, reliability and flexibility; comprehensive benefits include quarterly bonuses and health/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL driver's license with clean driving record (preferred).
• 2+ years' experience as a Truck Technician or similar position (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks.
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are properly working.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges.
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks
