Job summary

Gateway Industrial Power, Incorporated in Justice, IL is seeking a full-time Refrigeration Technician to repair and service Carrier, Thermo King, and related systems at shop and customer sites.

The role requires 2+ years experience as refrigeration or diesel mechanic, DOT certification ability, and a valid license. Company offers advancement training and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• We require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as refrigeration tech or diesel mechanic.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Technical Certification.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Company-paid advancement training and benefits are available.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs of refrigeration units and APUs in shop and at customer sites.
• Conduct Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and update customers on repairs.
• Identify warranty repairs and document on repair orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete required documentation for work orders and billing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Performing mechanical repairs of refrigeration units and APUs in the shop and at customer locations
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
• Diagnose malfunctions and update the customer on needed repairs
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Complete required documentation for work order files and customer billing
• Other duties as assigned
