Job summary

Gateway Truck & Refrigeration in Sparta, WI is seeking a skilled refrigeration technician/diesel mechanic to service and repair refrigeration units and APUs at the shop or on customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and document repairs, while keeping a clean, safe work area.

A high school diploma, 2+ years' experience, and DOT certification eligibility along with a valid driver's license are required; we offer training and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a refrigeration tech or diesel mechanic preferred.
• Ability to obtain & maintain DOT Technical Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs of refrigeration units and APUs in the shop and at customer locations.
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and update the customer on needed repairs.
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Complete required documentation for work order files and customer billing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties
