Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Medication Technician for The Barclay at Vero Beach AL and MC. The role focuses on accurate medication administration, resident health reporting, and record-keeping to ensure compliance with state regulations and The Blake standards.

The candidate will assist with dining and activities, bringing a caring attitude to an environment that values excellence, respect, leadership, and safety for older adults.

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Currently licensed as a Medication Technician by the state.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in residents' health and record progress daily.
• Ensure medication management complies with The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Explain medications and dosing when needed; dispense meds and maintain records.
• Assist with dining as needed or directed by leadership.
• Engage residents in activities to keep them happy and engaged.

We are currently looking for a Medication Technician for The Barclay at Vero Beach AL and MC

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assures medication management program is provided in an accurate, professional, and effective way according to The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Medication Technician License issued by the state
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
