Job summary

QSL Management at The Barclay at Little River is seeking a Medication Technician to join our senior living community. The role focuses on safe medication administration, resident health monitoring, and collaboration with care teams.

You will maintain accurate records, assist with dining and activities, and support residents with compassionate care. A state license and a caring heart are essential; CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Current Medication Technician License issued by the state.
• CPR/First Aid certification, preferred.
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in resident health and complete daily progress data sheets.
• Ensure medication management is accurate and compliant with standards and state regulations.
• Explain medication dosage/pharmacology when needed; distribute prescribed medications and maintain records.
• Assist with dining as directed by leadership.
• Engage residents in activities to keep them engaged and happy.

We are currently looking for a Medication Technician for The Barclay at Little River

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.


• Assures medication management program is provided in an accurate, professional, and effective way according to The Blake standards and state regulations.


• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.


• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.


• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements
