Job summary

The Barclay House of Augusta is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with dignity and compassion. You will document health changes, dispense medications, and collaborate with the leadership team to ensure safety and quality care.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, current Medication Technician and CNA licenses, CPR/First Aid preferred, and be flexible for weekends and holidays. Prior experience with older adults is a plus; Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Current Medication Technician license issued by the state.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license issued by the state.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report health changes and complete daily progress data sheets.
• Explain medication dosage and pharmacology when needed.
• Distribute prescribed medications and maintain medical records.
• Assist with dining as directed by leadership.
• Engage residents in activities to keep them happy.

We are currently looking for a Medication Technician for The Barclay House of Augusta

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.Barclay House standards and state regulations.
• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed
• Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements
