Job summary

Savant Senior Living is seeking a Medical Technician to provide direct care and medication assistance to residents in a Riverside facility. You will follow physicians' orders, state laws, and maintain licensure, with emphasis on safety and compassion.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, First Aid and CPR/CNA certifications, and excellent English communication skills. This role offers a first-rate benefits package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid First Aid Certification; CPR and CNA certifications may be required.
  • Ability to follow physician orders and medication policy.
  • English fluency in speaking, reading and understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
  • Follow procedures, physicians' orders, and state medication laws.
  • Meet community expectations in resident care and safety.
  • Maintain continuing education and licenses as required.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and staff in English.

What you will do:
  • Responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations
  • Follow outlined procedure, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications. Exhibit an understanding of and be willing to follow medication policy and procedures.
  • This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
  • Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).
  • Speak read and understand English fluently.
Must haves:

Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 25 pounds at a time.
