Lakewood Park Manor and Norwalk Retirement Villa are hiring a Medical Technician to provide direct care and medication assistance to residents. You will keep accurate care records and follow physicians' orders and state laws for medications.

A high school diploma and current First Aid ( CPR and CNA where required) are preferred, with strong English skills. The team offers a supportive environment with leadership backing and opportunities for continuing education in assisted living settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with prior facility experience preferred.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certification; CPR and CNA credentials may be required by state.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; strong record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents per policies and state laws.
• Maintain accurate care records and document changes promptly.
• Follow physicians' orders and medication policies during administration and supervision.
• Meet continuing education requirements and maintain licenses as applicable.

What you will do:

• Responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations
• Keep accurate care records
• Follow outlined procedure, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications. Exhibit an understanding of and be willing to follow medication policy and procedures.
• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).
• Speak read and understand English fluently.

Must haves:

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. • Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and push constantly.
