Job summary

Burbank Senior Villa West is seeking a Medical Technician to join our care team in Burbank. You will provide direct resident care and assist with medications under physician orders and state guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and current First Aid certification with CPR possibly required. Fluency in English is essential; lifting up to 25 pounds may be needed, and prior senior care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid First Aid Certification mandatory; CPR certification may be required by state.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to follow medication policy and procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
  • Follow physicians' orders, procedures, and state laws when assisting with medications.
  • Lift, move, and support residents as needed within safety guidelines.

What you will do:


  • Responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations

  • Follow outlined procedure, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications. Exhibit an understanding of and be willing to follow medication policy and procedures.

  • This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.

  • Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).

  • Speak read and understand English fluently.



  • Prolonged periods walking or standing.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 25 pounds at a time.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop and push constantly.


Must haves:


  • This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.

  • Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).

  • Speak read and understand English fluently.

Pay rate $21.00-$23.50 per hour DOE
