Job summary

Westmont Living in Cypress, CA is seeking a compassionate Med Tech to support residents with medication management, daily care, and memory care within a warm, homelike community.

You will set up medications, document MARs, and coordinate with RNs to ensure safety and compliance. A health screen and background check are required, with benefits after the introductory period.

Qualifications

• Experience providing medication assistance and MAR documentation.
• Ability to pass health screenings and background check.
• Strong compassion for seniors and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs and record reasons for PRN and effectiveness.
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screenings such as Physical, TB, Drug test.
• Must obtain current basic first aid within 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
