Job summary

Arcadia Retirement Village is seeking a Medical Technician to provide direct care and medication assistance to residents, following physician orders and state regulations. The role requires a high school diploma, First Aid, and possibly CPR/CNA certifications, with fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a similar facility.
• Valid First Aid Certification; state regulations may require CPR and CNA certifications and ongoing education.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents per policy and standards.
• Follow physicians’ orders, medication policy, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications.
• Maintain required licenses and pursue continuing education.

What you will do:

• Responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations
• Follow outlined procedure, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications. Exhibit an understanding of and be willing to follow medication policy and procedures.
• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).
• Speak read and understand English fluently.

Must haves:

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.

Pay rate $21.00 -$23.50 per hour DOE
