Job summary

Arcadia Retirement Village is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join the team. The caregiver will provide direct care, assist with activities of daily living, and support residents with mobility and transfers under the supervision of the Wellness Director.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, English fluency, and CPR/First Aid certifications. Prior assisted living experience is a plus. Benefits include health coverage, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or required.
• Fluent English read/write/speak.
• Experience in a similar facility and ability to assist with daily living tasks.

Responsibilities

• Report to Wellness Director; provide direct care and medication assistance.
• Assist with activities of daily living (grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, transfers).
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

What You Will Do

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must Haves

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.
